Introduce Yourself!

Welcome to Tree Fruit Scouting.

Often the richest part of online courses is the experience of "meeting" your fellow learners...after all, you each bring a world of wisdom from your own backgrounds and passion for some aspect of farming to this course. While you may not be able to see each other in person, you can still form friendships, share ideas, and even mentor each other.

In the 5 weeks each year that I am actively participating and we have live webinars, you'll see that some of the resources shared in each week will have the ability for you to add comments or questions, or share something from your plans. It's up to you to use this opportunity for interaction to its full potential!

This week, please tell us:

  • Where you live

  • What your farming background and aspirations are (pictures are really fun too - we encourage you to upload any photos that help tell your story!)

  • What you hope to take away from this course

Hello! I'm Anna, one of your course instructors. I have been working in the fruit industry providing IPM support and education to fruit growers for over a decade. I currently work out of the Hudson Valley Research Lab in Highland, NY. The work I do supports the tree fruit and small fruit industry across the state. I'm excited to learn about all of you and your projects. Ask questions any time and we'll do our best to answer them or point you in the right direction!
