When I was first getting started in my shipping and receiving career, I had a boss that was a very good trainer, life teacher, mentor in work and life.  As he trained me, he always said it will take a year to learn this job fully.  The only thing I can tell you to help in your work journey, just KISS it.  i was confused looking at him all sideways you could say.  he looked at me and said, Keep It Simple Stupid.  That stuck with me all these years and to this day, I do the same with all the people I have trained over the years.
He was right by the way it took a year till he trusted my work!

Training Example

por Kelli Kinzer -

A training example that I do with my shop kids in school is something I stole from you tube. It's called the peanut butter and jelly sandwich challenge.

I use it as a tool to show my students how detailed their blueprints for their projects should be.

How this usually goes is I start the class by asking the students to write on a piece of paper how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I tell them to write it like the person has never made one before. I give them 1 minute for the first draft. Then once the minute is up I have them show me what they have and I follow the directions exactly. No one gets a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because the directions are terrible. After this I give them 10 minutes and challenge them to see if they can get a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This teaches them that good "Blueprints" don't take only a minute and most of the time they don't take 10 minutes. This helps to slow them down and think through the project that they are going to do.
