What creative training ideas have you used, thought of, or seen elsewhere that you can share with the group? Your example doesn’t have to be from the farm, it could be an example from a creative teacher you had in school!
Interactive technology boosts learning by letting participants explore, experiment, and engage directly like using VR or apps.
A training example that I do with my shop kids in school is something I stole from you tube. It's called the peanut butter and jelly sandwich challenge.
I use it as a tool to show my students how detailed their blueprints for their projects should be.
How this usually goes is I start the class by asking the students to write on a piece of paper how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I tell them to write it like the person has never made one before. I give them 1 minute for the first draft. Then once the minute is up I have them show me what they have and I follow the directions exactly. No one gets a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because the directions are terrible. After this I give them 10 minutes and challenge them to see if they can get a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This teaches them that good "Blueprints" don't take only a minute and most of the time they don't take 10 minutes. This helps to slow them down and think through the project that they are going to do.
