Hi everyone,

I'm Shelley Lee. What I love most about gardening is being outside, planting and watching everything grow. I am getting ready to retire in May and my son sent me the advertisement for applying for MGV.

This came at the perfect time for me when I was looking for volunteer opportunities in retirement. I am most excited to learn how to make the most of my home garden and teaching others what I learn.

Good evening, Shelley. It was nice to work with you and Amber in our small group on Saturday. I'm looking forward to learning from you and everyone in our training cohort along with all the Master Gardeners and Tia.

Hi, I am Sue Kenoyer. I am a retired math teacher of 46 years and an avid gardener. I do perennials and no vegetables. Our gardens have been on the Secret Garden Tour twice and it is a lot of work getting ready for those Saturdays. My husband and I enjoy traveling and just got home from Costa Rica.
I wish we could have talked to everyone at Saturday's meeting. I am looking forward to this class but I must say it has been many years since I had homework!

Hello Sue! Do you focus on all perennials, natives, or are you pollinator or anti-deer browse focused? I can only imagine what it would take to get a garden featured on a tour! The British gardener Monty springs to mind, but I do believe they employ several people to create those gardens.
