Dear Cohort Members,
I hope your summer is going well! Summer can feel like a paradox, can’t it? We look forward to warm weather, vacations, and relaxation, but it often comes with more activity—parties, weddings, garden chores, and plenty of work events (plus, let’s be honest, ticks).
I also know many of you are running full programs while dealing with the realities of funding cuts and uncertainty, especially around SNAP-Ed. I’ve been through many budget cuts in Extension, but this one feels particularly hard, given how much this program has grown and the impact it has had. It’s tough, and I’m thinking of those of you directly affected.
On a brighter note, I’m seeing many of you have passed the halfway mark in the course, and several have already signed up for your presentation times—awesome work! If I don’t see progress soon (and for those who have not reached out directly), I’ll call or write next week to check in and offer support.
