Journal Entry 1: Site Assessment Part 1

Now that you began the first step of evaluating your garden site and/or landscape, reflect on this process by discussing:

  • How did you find the Site Assessment Part 1 activity overall?
  • Did any of your findings surprise you?
  • How do you think this will help you with your future garden/landscape plans and how you approach design?

Guidelines for journal entries:

  • Journal entries are submitted once a week, at least 2-3 paragraphs, with a well-developed idea.
  • Because the journal is a more personal reflection, you will not be posting this to others. When you upload it, only the instructor will see your work.

Journals can include:

  • Personal opinion and experience.
  • Your personal growth as a gardener, based on what you have learned and how you will put it in practice.
  • How you might address issues and resolve problems.
  • What you admire, like, or dislike, as you observe designers, designs, gardeners, gardens, landscapes, etc.
