AEM 101 | Me and My Farm — September 2024
A 6-week course designed for Spanish-speaking agricultural workers to improve their English skills through pre-recorded video lessons, personalized live Zoom instruction, and a dedicated mentorship within their farm.

This is a beginning English course that focuses on their English pronunciation helping them to know how to say and spell out names and places in their area correctly, and understanding the mission statements, history and vision of their farm. This is a mentorship course that requires an English speaker from their farm sign up with each participant to ensure individualized success specific to each farm

Un curso de 6 semanas diseñado específicamente para trabajadores agrícolas de habla hispana para mejorar sus habilidades en inglés a través de lecciones en video pregrabadas, instrucción personalizada en vivo por Zoom y una mentoría dedicada dentro de su rancho.

Este es un curso de inglés para principiantes que se enfoca en la pronunciación, ayudando a pronunciar y deletrear los nombres y lugares de su área correctamente, así como en entender las declaraciones de misión, la historia y la visión de su rancho. Este curso de mentoría requiere que un hablante de inglés de su rancho se inscriba con cada participante para asegurar un éxito individualizado específico de cada rancho.

ASL105 | Employee Development and Training. Three leadership practices are essential for supervisors: setting clear expectations, employee training and development, and providing performance feedback. In Employee Development and Training you will learn best practices to plan and conduct training that engages employees, supports retention, and helps ensure great quality work. Learn how to onboard new employees and improve on-the-job training to optimize performance. You will also learn how to create a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement through employee development, coaching, and career planning. This six-week online course is part of Cornell Agricultural Workforce Development’s Agricultural Supervisory Leadership certificate program. It is appropriate for new and experienced farm managers.
