The plants should be bagged and thrown out. 01:44:00 Susan Cavey: I see that TMV can be transmitted by people / handling. 01:44:20 Susan Cavey: How would a crop acquire INSV or TSW? 01:44:48 Susan Cavey: any other way besdies insect vectors? 01:44:59 ipmElise: Thrips spread INSV & TSWV 01:45:05 Elizabeth Lamb (she, her): Insects carrying it in. (They're red when you squish them which is why we can use them for dye.) They're scale insects, right? But they product waxy filaments off of their bodies that looks a lot like the mealybugs mess to me. Are mealybugs and cochineal related? Or do these mealybugs produce a similar wax? (The cochineal bugs use it as sunscreen.) 01:55:20 Mary McKellar (she/her): Reacted to "I was just watching ..." with 👍🏻 01:56:42 Elizabeth Lamb (she, her): A fair number of insects can produce those waxy filaments like these crypt larvae 01:57:51 ipmElise: John - maybe what you had on that 1st card was a Leptomastix. 01:59:15 JohnRobertson: perhaps it is I will take a closer look :) 49 Stacey Sasscer: Oh that was me 02:05:10 Stacey Sasscer: Yes, I left it in contact with the pot rim and they were on the sticky card in the shape of the rim 02:05:22 Julie Graesch: Reacted to "Yes, I left it in co..." with 😯 02:05:25 Grace Pourshalchi: thank you!! 02:05:38 Susan Cavey: There have been some great pictures in the group chats. I am not doing well in acquiring clear close up pics. What piece of equipmen is being used for the amazing close ups? 02:05:46 Ron Paquette #2693: When releasing beneficials should they be in a rotation. especially with different mites. 02:05:59 Lori King: Thank you 02:06:37 Stacey Sasscer: Susan, I am using the handheld miscroscope paired with my phone. The trick is recording video instead of pictures, and then selecting clear frames of the video and screenshotting them 02:08:03 Susan Cavey: Thanks 02:08:19 Susan Cavey: I've only taken pics, I'll try video 02:08:38 Susan Cavey: Thank you 02:08:40 Stacey Sasscer: Thank you all!
