Garden Design II

This week you will continue with your Site Assessment, study different design styles, and begin the process of design by exploring your personal style and preferences. Keep in mind that we will be on break next week, if you need extra time for complete the readings and site assessment.

Readings

• Read Landscape Design Trends pp. 22-129  in the Encyclopedia of Landscape Design. This is a long section of the book and shows some examples of different garden styles and their key features. You don't need to read every page; just focus on the styles that appeal to you or work well with your home's architecture or setting.
• Read through the entire Site Assessment for Gardeners workbook PDF (pp. 1-56).

Assignments

• You will do 3 activities from the Site Assessment for Gardeners, and add your findings to your existing Base Map.
  
• Complete the worksheet from the Site Assessment for Gardeners (pg. 59) workbook with information you have collected over the past two weeks.
• Join the Discussion Forum
• Finally, submit Journal Entry #2
