Introduction to the Portfolio Project
Throughout this course you will work toward building a portfolio of planning and programming guides, activities and/or curricula, and tools needed to implement a successful program based on garden-based learning (GBL) principles. By the time you finish this course you should have a comprehensive program plan and examples of research-based GBL activities which will serve as the framework in building your gardening program. Each week, your assignments along with your Logic Model, Journal reflections, and other resources will be documented to be compiled into your final Portfolio Project, or GBL Curriculum Toolbox. You will add to this portfolio each week, and when we reach the last week, Module 6, you will have extra time and to make revisions based on instructor feedback (if needed) and add any additional resources and tools collected from the course.
Here is an outline of the required assignments you will add to your final portfolio and the modules where you will find them. Although this checklist list does not follow the same order as each module assignment and their due dates, follow the progression of this list as they are numbered in your final project document. Keep this checklist handy, as you will refer to it often.
When submitting your final portfolio, use a word document, pdf, or PowerPoint presentation. Please do not submit multiple files; this should be completed in one single document or presentation, which is due August 24.- Introductory Statement (Module 2 Journal)

- Brief description of your garden project: you may use your 'elevator speech' created for stakeholders and fundraising (Assignment 5.3)

- Evaluation Plan (Assignment 4.1)
