Benefits of School Gardens
These are wonderful for inspiration, especially if you are in the process of convincing others about the benefits of garden-based learning programs. You can show these at a meeting as a way to start the conversation about the importance of school gardens.

Featuring tours of many different types of school gardens across the US, this video captures the diversity of garden types and has students giving enthusiastic tours of their learning gardens.  (28 minutes)

Lastly, this video is closer to home for the instructor of this course and the Master Gardener and RISE (Retirees In-Service for the Environment) Volunteers at CCE Rockland County, NY. This school garden was started a result of the USDA People's Garden Healthy Gardens Healthy Youth project that CCE Rockland was involved in and their excitement says it all!
