A love I have for gardening and farming is to simply see something grow. Of course it's nice have food as a result, but it's always amazing to see a plant just grow from a seed.

In the last several years, I've been planting wildflowers. Not only in hope to see more pollinators but to also enjoy the natural beauty of the flower and what it brings to life in my garden.

In thinking more about systems and the impact our actions take, last year I read suggestions about leaving leaf litter until late spring. It's ugly. It's messy. It takes a lot of effort to clean up in the Spring (along with all of the other garden clean-up that needs to happen). However, it also creates beneficial habitat for insects as well as natural mulch.

As Spring arrives, I'll look forward to more life this year!
