Hi everyone! My name is Renèe, and I’m from Cadyville, New York. I’m a mom of five and spend as much time as I can outside in the garden.

What I love most about gardening is how grounding it is. There’s something really special about putting your hands in the soil, tending to something over time, and watching it grow. My vegetable garden is one of my favorite places to start the day in the early morning before the world gets busy.

I also love the connection gardening brings to family life. My kids have grown up helping plant seeds, harvest vegetables, and learn where food actually comes from. It’s simple, but it feels really meaningful.

My inspiration to become a Master Gardener Volunteer comes from wanting to deepen my knowledge and be able to give back to the community. I’ve learned a lot through trial and error over the years, but I would love to understand more of the science behind soil health, plant care, and sustainable gardening.

I’m especially excited to learn more about soil health, native plants, and ways to create gardens that are both productive and beautiful. I’m also working on transforming a sloped area of my yard into a terraced garden over time, so I’m always looking for ideas and inspiration.

I’m really looking forward to learning alongside all of you and hearing about your gardens too!
