I've wanted to participate in the Master Gardner program for several years now but the timing just wasn't right to apply.  As I approach retirement, this seemed like the perfect time. I'm thrilled to have been selected and look forward to serving our community.

I have been gardening for many years as an adult and enjoyed it as a kid growing up. My dad definitely put me to work more often than I would have liked back then but now it's a place for me to explore, learn, and then share the fruits of my labor.  I particularly like herb gardening and drying herbs for use in the winter and canning tomatoes and fruit. Gardening gives me a sense of appreciation for the world around me. This past spring I started beekeeping and managed almost 100 pounds of honey! I'm interested in learning more about the right plantings for making pollinators happy, not just bees, and the timing of flowering and pollen production to make pollinators thrive.

So much to learn!  I'm looking forward to learning from everyone.
