Hello All! I'm Sue from Rhinecliff in the Hudson Valley, NY. I have a background in architecture but retired from that to start an environmentally focused non-profit. I am an avid gardener and love observing all the different species that end up in my garden or that I see on hikes. I would love to 'get close' as drawing allows one to do and really get a full sense of the living things that I see. Hopefully this course will allow me to take time to do this and improve my rendering skills. Really looking forward to this!

So far, this has been a wonderful journey back into my old tools. I’ve been retired for quite a while and haven’t had the desire to draw or paint for a long time. There is something to be said for the precision of draftsmanship and its parallels with botanical illustration. Maybe it will come in handy! I’m really looking forward to discussions here in this forum and to learn more about you as well.
