This is a work in progress. I am planning on doing a dissection and putting the reproductive parts on the lower part of the paper. Does anyone have any suggestions for the peony?
Hi Shelly, This is gorgeous. When I saw it I literally said "WOW" out loud. I don't have any suggestions- I just think it's such a strong drawing and I love how you used various techniques for the shading.

Hi Shelly - I agree with the WOW comment. Peonies are really complex to draw, but you've captured a lot of detail. It would be fun to hear about what about this flower attracted you to it. Carol
Thank you Carol! I was looking for a challenging flower and there they were! Growing up, my mother planted an entire hill with peonies and poppies...it was amazing.
