Hi everyone! Please call me Greg. I'm excited to learn with you all. I've been managing The Manse Garden since 2022, on the campus of South Church in Dobbs Ferry, NY. We're a community learning garden where everything is shared by whoever participates. We are Certified Veganic under the North American Veganic Certification Standard, which means no synthetic chemicals and no animal-derived inputs (e.g., manure, eggshells, blood meal, bone meal, etc.). I also initiated an ongoing effort to establish more community gardens in Dobbs Ferry.

Greg,

Wonderful to meet you! I love that your garden is completely veganic. Thank you for sharing the link on the standards, I will be looking more into this.
When you say this is an educational garden, do you also work with groups from schools to establish their own beds? or is it mostly just interested community members?

Thanks and look forward to working with you,
Isaac

Hi Isaac, Great to meet you too! I'm happy to know of your interest in veganics. Here are a couple more links: https://veganorganic.net/whygrowveganic/ https://veganorganic.net/whygrowveganic/
We haven't worked with school groups, but our local elementary school has their own school garden. So yes, it is mostly interested community members. Several come from other zip codes because a veganic community garden is not available anywhere else in the area. I've noticed that "educational garden" is often associated with schools, so I purposefully switched to calling it a "learning garden." Kind regards, Greg
