Practice Uploading an Assignment

For this exercise, photograph and upload a photo of the garden site you plan to design. Take the image from any angle that provides the most information and include any notes if you would like. This will be a test to ensure that all is working well, while providing the instructor a chance to see your future garden site.

Important notes for successful submission!

• Once you are finished uploading your assignment, make sure you click on the submit button. Depending on your browser, you may have to click several times until it is submitted for grading, and not just as a draft. Scroll down the page to make sure the submission status is showing as 'Submitted for grading' and not 'Draft'.
  

• When your assignment is submitted for grading,  I receive an email letting me know your assignment is ready to be viewed and graded. I generally provide feedback within a couple of days. You will receive an email letting you know your assignment has been graded and you can log into Moodle to see my feedback. Check your spam folder if you don't see that email.

• If the file is too large, you may get an error message such as  “invalid json string” and needs to be saved in a lower resolution. In addition, students sometimes want to submit multiple files, and Moodle doesn’t allow them to.  Students have learned to navigate both these issues by saving multiple pages in one pdf, or by ‘zipping,’ or compressing files prior to upload. Methods for compressing files will vary depending on whether you are using a MAC or a PC. Google "compressing files for (your computer type)" for help.
